I got a new swimmy suit.

My summer trip with my best friend is coming up (Florida, HEY-OH!) and so of course I had to get a new swim suit. I'm all about being confident in a bikini, and I wear them even when I feel like I don't necessarily have the body to pull it off, but last year I got a one-piece on a whim and got SO many compliments on it. That may have been because I was ten times more confident in it, but who really knows? Anyhoo, that's why I got a vintage-looking one-piece from Wal-Mart instead of another bikini at Target and I think I'm in love.

A long walk.

We're still trying to get used to this new house and all the bells and whisles...and moths...that come with it. Along with that, me and the sis are trying to train for my first 5K this weekend, and so we went on a long walk (and occasional run) through our new neighborhood last night.

It's country living at it's finest.

I seriously love this new house...my parents are so happy to be out of the suburbs and it's SO us. I mean, it's an old house, so we have to do some renovations...for example, we've got a put a fence up so the dogs can actually run around in our enormous plot o' land and burn some of their crazy energy off. And there's carpet everywhere...which is fine by me, but not by my parents, who are hardwood freaks!! Ah, well. We'll make it our own with time!

Today is a random post of randomness. This is my life now.

It's so weird having summer already...I forget that all the high schoolers are still in school and just assume that everyone is off when I am. I should most likely get a summer job soon but right now it's so busy with my sister here and my parents moving into the new house. We're a mess.

Speaking of my sister, it's so nice to have her here. After all, I spent over two months without her and now it's a nonstop hangout sesh. Everything is so different in her life and it's weird that everything is changing so fast, but I just have to learn to roll with the punches.

We tried a peel-off mask tonight and it is a bit uncomfortable:

Don't worry, our skin is not that oily. That's the mask....that is still on my face. I should do something about that.

Me and the Roomie had to part yesterday...no more living in the same room anymore!

Over the year, I found that we ended up getting really close, and it's going to be hard next year to live without her (honestly!). And yeah, while it'll be nice to grow up and have my own space, I'll always stay in touch with this gorgeous, hilarious lady!

I just found this video on A Cup Of Jo's blog in a post about living alone...and it makes me so excited to get my own place! For those of you who don't already know, next year I'm living in a studio apartment.

It's always been my dream to live alone at some point in my life, but I always thought it would come later. I never imagined it would be my sophomore year of college...

And sometimes I feel like I'm cheating the college system...like, you're SUPPOSED to have roommates and experience the good ones and the bad ones and the ones that steal your socks and the ones that become lifelong friends....

However, I want this, and therefore I'm going to be excited about it.

Also, I'm in a really good mood because I met this guy today. I don't know his name, but we talked for like five minutes. It was a really great five minutes of mutual interest in each other.
