All packed up!

Thursday, August 2, 2012 § 0

And ready to move into my apartment tomorrow!  I am so excited, and I've been jangling my new keys in everyone's face lately:
It's a small place but I can't wait to spruce it up and make it just for me.

And speaking of sprucing it up...my Goodwill obsession has only become more and more intense.  I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THIS CHEAP-ASS SECONDHAND STUFF!  I even got this gorgeous fabric that I'm going to use as a table runner on top of my white crochet tablecloth:
Crazy gorgeous floral!!! Lately, I've been all about the flowers.

Another amazing thing about this week was that my best friend stopped by to pay me a visit.  It was so amazing having her here and I miss her already...whether we're spending two hours on the highway or 15 minutes on a go-cart speedway, we're always having fun with each other.

Love that girl!!!

Well, it's disappointing that summer's almost over but I've got a feeling that this year is going to be my best yet.

SHANNON, THIS IS OUR YEAR!!!

Adios,
Madi

Le drive-in.

Saturday, March 17, 2012 § 0

Well, let me preface my post about the drive-in and say that I spent about 80 dollars at Forever 21 yesterday.  EIGHTY.  Can you honestly believe....well...yeah, I can.  I bought, like, four things.  God, it really adds up.  Anyway, one of those tops is this sheer sleeveless shirt with velvet dots on it.  Me and the sister have currently been fighting over it.

I bought so many clothes because I wanted to look awesome yesterday forrrr...duh duh duh duuuuh! The drive-in!
That amazing girl in the leopard print is my best friend, Shannon, and it was her 19th birthday a couple of days ago.  Therefore, yesterday we celebrated at the drive-in with a few of our friends and hilariousness ensued.

Love that place.

So long, Texas.

Saturday, February 4, 2012 § 2

So, after a long, long (long) decision process, my parents have finally decided to move to Colorado.  There's a company down here that my dad really likes, plus, they've always wanted to experience a climate that's better than the hot, humid, stifling air of Texas.  I haven't told nearly anyone...we weren't 100% positive that the move was actually going to happen and we didn't want to get our hopes up.

I'm so excited.  First of all, this means that they'll be living less than an hour away from where I go to school.  There's the possibility of me paying in-state tuition after a while, and I won't have to wait until breaks from school to go down and visit (and I won't have to fly anymore, blech).  I finally get to ease their stress a little and help them with the moving process, because I haven't been able to do a lot with them still in Texas.

Then, there's the downside.  My sister is still going to be living in Texas, so I still won't get to see her very often.  I have a lot of friends I'll be leaving behind in Texas, too (Shannon, Brownie, Jacob, Maggie, Bri, and the gang, I miss you all!), and I don't know when the next time is that I'll be down there  to say goodbye.  Plus, I may not even be able to say my final goodbyes to the house I spent eight years doing a lot of growing up in, and that's a total bummer, too.

Whatever happens, I've got to remember that change is good and if friends are true, they'll stick with you (I should write Hallmark cards, am I right? Just kidding).  This is going to be exciting and different and I can't wait for my parents to come here and finally feel settled and happy, and to feel like this is where they belong.

Plus, I really miss my mom's home cooked meals.  Just saying.

Au revoir,
Cooper

My week.

Involved packing up all of my favorite books for CSU....

...going to a track meet in 110 degree heat with the best friend and driving around Baylor...

...buying a pineapple, learning how to slice it, and eating it until the acid made my mouth sting...

...and killing time in an Autozone while my friend tried to fix his truck....

It's been quite a week.

MEXICO!

Here's the pictures from our recent Los Cabos trip.  Gotta love my best friend for taking me all around the world with her fabulous fam :)
Check out the pirate ship!

The arch, that is only accessible every 4-5 years!

Getting crazy in the gift shop...

......

We definitely crashed a wedding.

The wedding arch.

The end! I had an AMAZING time :)

Graduation- FINALLY!

Monday, June 13, 2011 § 0

I say finally in reference to the fact that I finally graduated and to the fact that I'm finally uploading pictures.   I've been in Mexico with my best friend for the past week, so I haven't had time to update!! I'm glad to be back, as much as I loved the free drinks (drinking age in Mexico is 18, so I felt like a classy lady with my Pina Colada non-virgin, haha) and the beautiful beach.

Anyway, I now present to you the class of 2011 (or, um, just me):

Post-grad Benihana dinner was FAB.

WOO HOO, I'M A GRAD!!  Now I can get my butt to Colorado to get my degree! I'm going to orientation there soon, and I can't wait to take a bajillion and one pictures of my future home :)

Until manana,
Cooper

I'm in love.

I feel the need to give my camera a name.  Yes, I'm one of those weirdos.  I'll think it over.

In other news, the best friend hosted a poker party at her house (well, we played blackjack) and it was a ton of fun!

I did well- I started out with 25 million fictional dollars, and ended up with 3 million
 *insert sarcastic grin*.
(I'm so bad at cards.  That's why Shannon has to bargain with me to get me to play with her)

Oh, and I went to my graduation practice.  Weird.  I'll be forever out of high school in 2 days.

All in all, it was a fun day.

Have a nice night,
Cooper

A Very Medieval Birthday.

Saturday, May 28, 2011 § 0

Tonight we went to Medieval Times to celebrate my 18th birthday with my family and my best friend (but she counts as family).  We had an amazing time!  I think the highlights included Shannon getting checked out by this creepy dude that sat next to her (thus forcing us to move, because of his creepiness), my frenzied waving at the sexy, sexy Green Knight and his consequent smiling and sticking out his tongue at me, and Shannon catching the yellow carnation from our Orlando Bloom look-a-like knight.

Oh, what a night!!

She's just too excited for words.

Shannon caught the flower!

Thank ya, Medieval Times!

Hope you all have a lovely long weekend.  I'll be sure to upload some birthday pictures soon!

Until then,
Cooper

A Night at the Drive-In.

Friday, May 20, 2011 § 0

Sorry for the poor quality of the pic, but my camera is broken so I used my phone.  But look at how cute we look, just hanging out at the drive-in!

For my birthday celebration, my friends and I decided to drive out to Granbury, a cute little town an hour away, and celebrate at a drive-in theater.  My friend brought his dad's truck and the rest of us supplied the blankets and snacks, and we were all set for a marvelous time.

We killed time before the movie playing tag with little kids in the grassy area in front of the screen, and I realized just how out of shape I am.  But I also realized how EASY it is to have fun with people you love :)

We saw Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides, which I thought was great!  It wasn't as mysterious or deep as the other ones have been, but it was a fun movie with a cute side romance and I just really liked it.  It was perfect for a drive-in movie.

I think this is probably one of my favorite ever birthday celebrations.  I had an amazing time.  It's sad that drive-ins are dying out, because they involve dangerous amounts of joy.

Nighty night,
Cooper
